ok so i know i should be studying but with moulin rouge on tv, internet back on my computer and tea in my mug, who could resist?

Every year we have a Christmas Eve Party we eat, play games, give gifts, all that stuff, all the while sporting costumes. In the past there has been Hawaiian, Arabian Nights, Careers [where a tito dressed up as a male playboy bunny], Cross-Dress [i was too little to participate but there are pics in my fb], Super Heroes and quite a few more. Last year we were Senior Citizens where my brother won the costume contest by putting on a hospital gown, bifocals and an adult diaper but getting to the point, this year's theme is Cowboys and Indians now I'm not entirely sure how funny this might turn out, several titos have threatened to go as Cabaret Dancers or bahag-wearing versions of Kokoum but here's to hoping for the best.

1. I cannot eat shellfish
I am not allergic to it or anything, I just can't really bring myself to eat it. I dunno it it's the legs, the smell or how you eat it but seriously, I can't stomach shellfish,I don't like steamed fish either but that's another story

Honestly though, I have SO. MUCH. FUCKING. HAIR. I'm not exaggerating when I say that if we chopped it all off, we could make a blanket...We could. (if we were so inclined) And it's not just the amount of hair but the general foofy-ness of it, you've all seen me. One good thing about it though is that it's at least soft and all moisturized.had it been dry I would have ended up like Damian XP
3. I've been a Star Wars fan since the dawn of time
My dad's influence, he was a big fan in highschool, not that we didn't know why he had that particular movie out of the 3 OT (Pincess Leia in a Gold Bikini). We had a VHS of Return of the Jedi, the 6th movie,which is actually the third movie, and me and my brother watched it on a loop when we were kids...not that we understood much of it then but there were lightsabers and robots and teddy bears so we thought, "hey cool". We we're so cool when Phantom Menace came out in '99, the first one,which is actually the fourth one, all those other kids were like "oooooh what's that" and me and my brother thought "pffft. losers don't even know what a Jedi is"....ok alam ko ang loser namen pero cool kami noon so there.
4. I never finished the Harry Potter series
Yeah.Yeah I know. I've only ever gotten up to the sixth book, when the seventh came out my mom thought it'd better to wait for the prices to go down before we bought it. So now three or four years later we still haven't bought it because we're too damn lazy. We sorta just don't really care anymore because why bother, the movie's coming out next year anyway XDDinner sloth talking
5. I frown...a lot
I've probably frowned more than 6000 times in my whole life, because I have 3 frown marks and1 frown mark equals 2000 frownsand I dunno it sort of comes naturally. I frown when i concentrate or when it'm squinting or trying to understand something...but never when I'm actually angry, I draw my chin close to my neck when I'm angry, which is weird really...sort of backwards you know
6.I like doing accents
Voices, you know the type. I don't really think I'm that good at it but I can do a fewhopefullypassable ones. My mom read to me a lot when I was little, she started when I was very young and read to me well into my pre-teens and she used to do the voices. I remember all of them, my favorite to this day are the voices she used for Sanji and the Baker. It's where I based my Indian accent. i like playing around with them with my friends, me, Corro and Paula did the HillBilly and Indian together for kicks, we're usually funny to watch when were at it, party because it actualy is funnyand partly because we look like a couple of retards.
7. I am a UAAP basketball fan
yeah yeah I'm a Blue Eagle supporter. I like watching the games and keeping score and I hate Buenafe and I think Monfort is cute. I would have killed to watch the game live today. I've been pretty involved with it this season, I even got to watch the 2nd UP-Ateneo game livei had to sit on the UP side thoughbecause the tickets were free beggars can't be choosers. it's one of the few things my dad and I like doing together and unlike a lot of other sports, it is insanely easy to understand XD not that I can play though I have no athletic prowess at all I am a sit down and stare insto space girl HAHA KAKATAPOS LANG NG GAME GO RABEH!!!!! 8D

we're all safe :D thanks to everyone who voiced out their concern and to everyone who prayed for us, I'll be praying for all of you.
( Waterworld... )When I last posted our house had just flooded and the people in it were running ow on water. I wasn't at home, if you guys remember I was holed up in Capitolyo where I was manning communications [3 phones, a cellphone, YM and a walkie-talkie] and left to take care of my baby cousin, KC [I swear if we could harness the never ending supply of energy that kid has...] and over dinner yesterday, my relatives that had been stuck in Greenwoods relayed what had happened to them.
My tito and my dad left the house at around 1:30 pm with the avowed hope that they would soon get our family out of Greenwoods. They arrived on the intersection between Mercedes Ave. and Market St. at 2:00 and they hailed a kariton. The floods in our area were roughly 4 and a half feet high and amazingly enough the people that we're heading in and outof the village never had a hard time getting through. The wettest they ever got would be at most a waist deep flood.
Here's why...
People from all over were finding more and more ways to get through the floods, the kariton vendors made a killing that day and at the same time helped a lot of people. We weren't able to get our own pictures but from what I understand, the accidental boatmen got very creative. Inflatable pools, fiberglass bathtubs, pediacabs, plastic drums all of them piled up with extra pieces of wood to add height and monolock chairs and planks for seats. By the time they all got out it was 4:30, good thing too, the boatmen said they'd stop ferrying people when it got dark, still no streetlights I think and too many potholes and speedbumps for it to be at all safe.
Meanwhile, the house [based on my brother's description] looked like something out of Jumanji. They managed to get most of the appliances and even a bit of furniture up to the second floor but the lanai, my sister's room, the whole ground floor is waterlogged. I mean taking everything into consideration it isn't really that bad but i can't help feeling real sorry for my parents...water damage isn't something to be taken lightly...we left two maids behind and they've been on salok duty for a while now, we're been getting the other maid to bring them food and water, because we can't leave the house like that...the raiders will come...there be many many raiders...
My mom got home to our little Capitolyo safehouse soon after the Greenwoods survivors did and she told us about the blithering idiots who tried to stage a fucking mutiny in Clark. If you recall, I said that the plane my mom was a passenger on got diverted to Clark Airbase after the Pilot figured out they couldn't land in NAIA. At first they were trying to wait out the storm then they got word that they were going to have to head back to HKIA and people were getting disgruntled and started doing stupid things. People we're saying "We're already in the Philippines LET US OFF NOW we'll find our own way to Manila! We'll get our own bagage! Let us talk to the Captain! let us talk to Immigration let us talk to our Government! You're not listening to us! Let us off! All of us would like to get off! Ang Pangit naman ng food!We don't want to go back to Hong Kong! We're ALREADY HERE" Their "leader" was this woman who refused to shut the fuck up "I am a teacher in the United States, I'll want to talk to an immigration officer" to which another passenger replied "di ako magpapaaral ng anak ko diyan" "hey lady! shut up there are children here stop thinking about just you' "mama please naman" they eventually got her to shut up when they told her that they could have her prosecuted and hancuffed to her seat if she continued. First of all it isn't the airline's fault this happened, second of all yang mga accomodations and food na matatanggap ninyo, pagmamagandang loob na lang yan, third of all, DO YOU SEE THAT STORM OUTSIDE?! You want to get off and look for your bags in THAT? and another thing there are thousands of bags in that stowage area, how the heck are you gonna sort through that? OH AND LASTLY The airline has no traffic rights in Clark bitch! They can't let you off here, Immigration will not talk to you and it's against the law for you to even dare approach the cockpit in hostility. Be thankful they're even giving you food and accomodation! and on that note,yang pagkain mong bago...pagkain ng cabin crew yan shut up and sit tight.
That's the news on my end. We're all fine now and I wanna thank you all again for your concern. I'm still praying for all of you, I hope you're all safe and I hope to see you all soon. I love you all, please,please be ok.

little_embolismwhen all of a sudden a big boom and all the power went off. We slept over at my lola's new house on Tupelo street where there was still power. Yesterday naman I went to AC to take an entrance test and while they were giving me the tour, it was raining hard, at first no more than usual, but after about an hour when I was actually taking the test the power died and they rolled up the blinds and dude, I could have sworn it was like Millenyo all over again. Me and a few other Paulinians were stranded at AC, We were hungry, wet and very much anxious to get away. My dad eventually came, he just came from the airport, supposedly to pick up my mom but he was told her flight got diverted to Clark because of the zero visibility. We left AC and went to Glorietta, the other Paulinians that hitchhiked with me went off to the MRT to try and get to Shang and me and my dad were waiting for the storm to subside...No such luck however.
We tried to get home, but from Market street onwards the streets were flooded. We were in the wonderfully tall Everest SUV and we got all the way to Mercedes near the corner turning to Sandoval. Sadly, the whole of Sandoval was waist deep in water, we had to turn back and head to my lola's house on the high grounds of capitolyo.
Meanwhile our house was taking on water, not to extreme degrees but the level was rising, the Lanai was flooded. My sister and the yayas were at our house and my lola, tita and brother were at my lola's new house and the water came up from the downstairs powder room. They've had no power since the night before but that was the extent of their misfortumes for the time being. Elsewhere, my relatives in Marikina had to climb up to the second floor because, for the first time ever, the river reached their house.
Me and my dad holed up in Capitolyo watching the news. We we're hearing about houses completey submerged and people freezing and starving to death on their roofs. We also heard that this is the worst rain Metro Manila had ever seen. Over ten feet of water poured down on us in the span of 6 hours, the only thing that ever came close was a storm in 1967. Eventually, we decided to try and get back home thinking that the flood may have subsided a bit. When we crossed the bridge on bagong Ilog we saw 2 things 1) the Pasig river had turned into this monstrous thing, tall houses on the banks were clearly flooded 2) the whole of the area across the river was in complete darkness. The water was even higher, even the Everest's hieght wouldn't be enough to get us through this time. If my dad so much as flicked the brakes we would be done for, we had to turn back. When we got back to the house in capitolyo my mom called and apparently, they weren't diverted to Clark afterall...they got sent back to Hong Kong. She wanted to murder all the Filipino passesngers, she wasn't on-duty then but she couldn't help feeling for the cabin crew. The fucking idiotic Pinoy passengers wanted to stage a fucking mutiny! If it weren't for the Chief that threatened them with a law that stated that they could retrain them handcuffs the blithering idiots wouldn't have shut up. My mom might not come home anymore because of the delays and stuff.
The situation right now is still relatively the same but my family in Greenwoods is slowly running low on cellphone battery and they have no electricity and they may have no water. I only just got in contact with them and I've been very worried.
I've been reading posts and I'm worried about you guys too.slothlesschildI hope you're brother is ok and your ate's friends get home safe soon.

Just got back and I have to say that, that was my best retreat ever. I can honestly say I've never had a better one. I laughed, cried, ate, slept, prayed, talked, all that stuff, it was a helluva time. I got to bond with a lot of my classmates, not just my kabarkadas but some of the other kids who I don't usually talk to too. It really improved class unity and everyone's perception of the people around them. All thanks to Ate Yumi [who is one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of encountering] and all of the fourone fishie peacocks [who made the whole thing so much more wonderful] I want to say thanks to everyone who gave me a palanca and wished me a good retreat and I hope yours is just as great. See you all tomorrow at Grad Pic taking/report cards/white elephant. labyong!

First I'd like to say that I loved our last araw ng wika, everyone was just so flippin awesome :D particularly the seniors (partly our of batch pride but mostly because todotodohan akong na-wow) Kitty,Mia, Eps, SarDin, sabayan people, our dancers, Duane and Jackie, all our players and of course the non-stop cheering force of the senior pep squad. The fourone thing wasn't so bad either , granted we only had one guest, but we had a hell of a time, particularly with long-talong (Maan, Den2, Kri-kri & Corro your long talong abilities make the muscle cramps worth it, and it being caught on video makes it doubly so XDDD) and we had fun with the magic sing and chicharon and don't worry Krizia, magye-yes yes show tayo soon :)). The games were fun to watch and I'm sure everyone feels that batch spirit is still on the rise, cheering went on for the entire day and we were all so fucking game, kinda made me wonder where we got all that energy,ang hyper lang natin lahat darna XDDD I loved it, no voice, no energy anymore but who cares, the Seniors always make all that shit worth it.

When they announced that it was going to be another "Talent Fest and Fair" none of us were expecting any fun, and to be honest it wasn't too much fun. It was really hot and humid, working on the show was a little annoying, the "Fashown" didn't turn out well [which is particularly annoying because I was put on a goddam tarpaulin for nothing], I still can't find Rory, the rides blew, certain people are [insert something], and so on and so forth.
But of course nothing is ever all bad, the fair did have its good points too like Mirrors, Synergy, Den2 going on air and getting a prom date, hanging out with some of my friends, seeing the eXDees play, playing query and cooking mama, reading "Next Page Please", making at least 1200 off the tiange stuff from Fashown [I didn't get to keep any of it though Xp], getting into the Vibe for free, watching P!P!, seeing Via again, watching my friends perform and of course the pre-fair happiness brought about by Much Ado Act V [i still absoFUCKINGlutely love III-7] and the pre-fair fangirling experience with Sephie aka the FALL OUT BOY concert. And I applaud everyone for their performances and efforts but there are two operations that I would really, really like to commend.
Firstly, I'd like to congratulate the Vibe, the junior booth, the movie booth or whatever you want to call it. To those of you who don't know yet, the booth made over twenty-two thousand pesos during its five day run, if I remember correctly, the Vibe earned 5000 something on the first day, another 5000 on the second day, 2000 on Heath Ledger day, 4000 on Pride&Prejudice-WildChild day, and 6000 on MoulinRouge-Titanic day and our batch acad chair, her amazingness, Kyla Perez, says that we made more money than any other batch booth out there :D Yay Juniors!
I'd also like to say Congratulations to everyone that was involved in Paul!Paul! especially to my friends who worked on it and whom I've missed Paula, Anna, Lara, Cheska, Dan, Kaley, Monty, Maronne, Anina, Mikee, Lyra, Syra, Lafi, Bea, Reg, Rach, Mikka, Celine, Sarah, Pia, Kara, Patrizze, Carmelli, Erieko, Joanna, Rissa, Sunny, Vahn, Quincy, Claire and all the others. It was and will always be completely and utterly awesome OuO You guys did a wonderful, wonderful job, I am so proud of all of you and I seriously wish I could see it again.
All in all a pretty decent fair, one that I'm not going forget or completely regret any time soon.

ZOMG TAPOS NA ANG MUCH ADO!I thought I'd be relieved but I find myself missing it somehow. I found my cast really annoying and really wonderful at the same time, I hated it when people didn't get their shit together when we were performing at the same time I LOVED IT when they thought fast and covered up. Sometimes the music would be too soft, too loud, too early or too late, but when it was just right, gahd ang sarap ng feeling. The Beatrice-Benedick scenes were awkward and funny at the same time.The Don John-Conrade scenes took the cake...as well as the Don John A-Don John H scenes. I loved Claudio's Hero Sandwich gag and the recurring "she's a...a...a...a TOOT!". I loved it when the class got the jokes and I like how we got Ms. Aligada to cry and how the little Moulin Rouge insert me and Corro never got to practice went better than expected. The whole experience was hell at it's best, merry hell and it made me realize that I was wrong to have low expectations at the beginning of the year. If anything 3-7 has been the best class I've been in so far and I hate that it took me until 4th quarter to see it. We actually didn't start to feel the class unity until we started playing Ube, Ikot-Ikot, Caterpillar and that Box game during free time in PE. And then there was that Agape during the PAD...during the immersion we noticed that our class was divided into 3 groups, at PAD we were all sitting in these groups...then we opened the circle...and opened it some more, we ended up sitting in one big circle and no one else noticed this until me and Shing pointed it out during the Guidance activity. We had an activity where we had to roll a ball on our forearms, the whole class, one long snake of forearms and we had to roll a ball from one end to the other without dropping it. We did and tita Beng said that we were the 3rd class that was able to do it, the 3rd out of I don't know how many. Suffice it to say that I really love my room and I hope they get as much a kick out of this as I do.
